Have a safe and God-filled holiday.
Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, was originally set as a U.S. legal holiday to honor the end of World War I, which officially took place on November 11, 1918, dedicated to the cause of world peace and in honor of World War I veterans. At present, Veterans Day is set aside to thank and honor living veterans who served honorably in the military - in wartime or peacetime.
Our soul waits for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.
For our heart is glad in him,
because we trust in his holy name.
Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you.
