As we come together on Ash Wednesday to celebrate this solemn and ancient ritual of penance, let us also remember that God is gracious and merciful to those with repentant hearts. We entrust this Lenten pilgrimage to our all-loving God and ask for His grace to repent and to be faithful to His Gospel.
Our Holy Mass schedule at St. Luke: 8:30a.m., 12:10p.m., 5:30p.m. and 7:00pm
NOTE: On Ash Wednesday, we unite our fasting and abstinence to the cross of Christ, the sign of God's love for us.
“Even now,” declares the LORD, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. (Joel 2:12-13)
