Join us as we commemorate as one St. Luke parish community the Lord's Passion, Death and Resurrection...

Holy Thursday, April 18, 2019

We are called to celebrate the Eucharist as an act of thanksgiving, remembrance and renewal of our unity with Jesus Christ.

MASS OF THE LORD'S SUPPER (6:00p.m.)

ADORATION in the CHAPEL after the 6:00p.m. Mass until 11:00p.m.

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” (Luke 22:19)

Good Friday, April 19, 2019

We have received the gift of eternal life because Jesus was obedient to the will of the Father.

STATIONS of the CROSS (12:15p.m.)

REFLECTIONS on the SEVEN LAST WORDS (1:00p.m.)

CELEBRATION of the LORD's PASSION (2:00p.m.)

EVENING SERVICE (7:00p.m.)

Veneration of the Cross: As Catholics, we revere the cross; our crucifixes bear the image of Christ crucified.  With this powerful image, we can be moved to join our own sufferings to His and, in this way, help further the salvation of the world.  In the love of God for humanity manifested by the cross, we can find ultimate meaning in both the joys and sorrows of life.

Holy Communion: In venerating the cross with a touch or kiss, we humbly recognized the cross as the  tree of life. Now, as we come forward to receive holy Communion, we are fed by bread from heaven, the Lord Himself, so that we may continue to grow in our faith and conform our lives to His.

EASTER VIGIL MASS of the RESURRECTION of the LORD (8:00p.m.)

We begin on this holiest of nights gathered around a fire, the Fire of Christ which is a source of light and a sign of hope in the darkness.  When this flame is shared from the paschal candle, symbol of Christ, to all of our candles, the light of Christ is spread to every darkened corner of our world. We proclaim Christ’s victory over death...we recall God’s goodness throughout history...we renew our own baptism and share together in the Paschal Feast.

EASTER SUNDAY of the RESURRECTION of the LORD, April 21, 2019

Alleluia, He is risen! Truly, He is risen!

The love of Christ’s cross triumphs over sin and death.  From humiliation, brutality and pain come redemption and salvation.

Easter Sunday Masses at 7:30a.m., 9:00a.m., 10:30a.m. and 5:00p.m.

"He has been raised. Remember what he said to you while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified, and rise on the third day.” (Luke 24:6-7)

A CHRIST-FILLED and BLESSED PASCHAL TRIDUUM to ALL!
