With the centennial year of the foundation of the Legion of Mary in 2021 fast approaching, no better way to begin our preparation than by remembering three Legionaries who exemplified the ideals of the Legion.  Frank Duff, our founder, envisioned that the Legion of Mary would be an instrument to promote the holiness of its members and of those for whom we work, and would add to the number of Saints of the Holy Catholic Church.  At this year’s conference, we will remember and honor the lives of Frank Duff, Edel Quinn, and Alfie Lambe, whose causes for beatification we promote, with the hope that we will continue to be inspired to follow their lives of commitment and service to Jesus through the Blessed Virgin Mary.

When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” [And] Jesus said to her, “Woman, how does your concern affect me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servers,  “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:3-5)
