Pope Francis, in his letter to Bishops expressed, "Nearly a month has passed since the outbreak of war in Ukraine that is inflicting immense suffering upon its sorely tried people and threatening world peace. At this dark hour, the Church is urgently called to intercede before the Prince of Peace and to demonstrate her closeness to those directly affected by the conflict. I am grateful to the many people who have responded with great generosity to my appeals for prayer, fasting and charity. Now, also in response to numerous requests by the People of God, I wish in a special way to entrust the nations at war to the Blessed Virgin Mary."
In support of Pope Francis, Archbishop Cordileone is inviting all the faithful to gather together tomorrow, Friday, March 25 and join our Pope and Catholics worldwide in praying the Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
“I urge all of us, Catholics throughout the Archdiocese of San Francisco, to unite ourselves in prayer with Pope Francis as he consecrates Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the Solemnity of the Annunciation, March 25th. This day we commemorate the Blessed Mother’s ‘yes’ to receiving Jesus Christ. For all of us let this serve as a renewal of the consecration of our own Archdiocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on October 7, 2017. There is no true and lasting peace without our Lord Jesus Christ. May Mary lead our world leaders to say ‘yes’ to her Son, the Prince of Peace.”Let
Hope to see you all at our St. Luke's 8:30 morning Mass tomorrow, March 25, and together, let us unite with Pope Francis and our brothers and sisters in raising a heartfelt and choral plea to our Blessed Mother, Queen of Peace, and to Jesus Christ, our Lord, Prince of Peace.

Jesus replied..."Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27)
