Join fellow Catholics and Pro‐Lifers from all over California and beyond as we stand up for the littlest among us at the 15th Annual Walk for Life West Coast in San Francisco on January 26, 2019. There will be Mass at 9:30 a.m. celebrated by Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone at St. Mary’s Cathedral. The rally begins at 12:30 p.m. in San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza; and the Walk, down Market Street, begins at 1:30 p.m. Last year’s Walk drew more than 50,000 people. Help make a difference. Be part of this momentous occasion.
Papal Blessing and Plenary Indulgence
The Vatican has granted a plenary indulgence and a papal blessing for those who will participate in the
Walk for Life West Coast, including those who are sick and infirm and praying along with the participants in
the rally and walk along Market Street. All those present at the Walk for Life rally will receive a papal
blessing, conveyed by San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone, and with that, a plenary
indulgence, according to a letter from Vatican. Those who participate in “sacred celebrations” associated
with the Walk throughout the dioceses of the area will also receive the plenary indulgence (Our St. Luke 8:30a.m. Holy Mass will be offered for the intention of the Walk for Life).
