Today, the day before we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit during the first Pentecost, let us heed Pope Francis' call...let us all unite our hearts with Christ's people and bow our heads in prayer...

“Saturday, June 8,” Pope Francis recalled, “will be the fifth anniversary of the meeting of the Israel and Palestinian Presidents with me and Patriarch Bartholomew here in the Vatican,” where they prayed in the Vatican Gardens in 2014 for peace.

“At 1 p.m.,” the Holy Father continued, “we are invited to dedicate ‘a minute to peace’ – of prayer, for believers, of reflection, for those who do not believe…: all together for a more fraternal world.” (www.zenit.org)
