The Office of Vocations invites all Catholics to pray for our current seminarians and those being called to enter the seminary, and for an end to the pandemic. Pray the Rosary and Novena Prayer to St. Charles Borromeo each evening with others beginning on April 24 (the prayer is livestreamed on youtube.com/starparish). The Novena will culminate in the World Day of Prayer for Vocations on May 3. St. Charles Borromeo was a priest who helped to care for the sick in a plague during the 1600s in Milan. He also is the patron saint of seminarians.

The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
