Dear St. Luke friends, 

On this 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Christ, who is our first beginning and last end, affirms that He never tires of calling us to His vast vineyard of merciful love.  No matter what our past is, with its failures, disappointments, or waywardness, our Divine Merciful Savior comes to our rescue even to the end, welcoming our contrite hearts, with His all-embracing love and salvation.

Each week, at the Lord's Eucharistic celebration, either at St. Luke's or virtually at home, we are blessed to encounter God’s labor of mercy. God transforms ordinary bread and wine into Christ’s Body and Blood. Each Eucharist is truly a thanksgiving to our God who loves us so much that He offers us not only His loving mercies but His own self in the Eucharist! No greater love have we witnessed than Christ's total self-sacrifice relived in each Eucharist.  He is the Bread of Life to both the good and the bad, the poor and the rich, the lost and struggling.

As you spend some moments with the Lord, allow yourself to be awed in thanksgiving and praise of all the wonderful works and mercies of God in your life. With a grateful heart, ask for the grace to follow Christ, as He touches you, changes you, forgives you and heals you.  Upon receiving His gifts, let the flame of His Divine Love dwell in your heart from dawn till dusk. Ask the Holy Spirit to empower you to share in Christ's mission of love, and become a faithful laborer in God's vineyard--in your own home, workplace, community, in the Church.  God awaits with the reward of His kingdom, His love and eternal union with Him.

REMINDERS:

1) WEEKEND MASSES will be CELEBRATED OUTDOORS on SATURDAYS at 5:00pm and SUNDAYS at 8:00am and 10:00am.  No signing up required.  Chairs will be provided.

2) You are required to submit your CONSENT FORM (click here to download and print) each time you attend Sunday Mass.  This is in compliance with the San Mateo Health Officer's guideline and will serve as a waiver to limit St. Luke's liability and will be used for contact tracing purposes. Forms will be kept confidential and will be discarded after 45 days.
