23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time Greetings

Posted on September 03, 2021 in: General News

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Imagine yourself being a part of our Sunday gospel narrative.  We encounter Jesus performing another miracle.  Are you among those people who bring to Jesus the "deaf" in our midst?  Are you the deaf man who awaits to be touched by God and be delivered from impediments to His love and merciful grace?

Our Lord loves us so much, He does not limit the time when we could approach Him.  He is available in our waking and in our sleeping.  His love is an overflowing fountain of grace for all who hope in Him.  Christ longs for us to encounter His personal, intimate love and healing in the most blessed Eucharist and in sacramental Confession.   Here, we experience our loving Savior who desires to fill us with His divine Spirit so that our hearts can proclaim the wonders of His love.

Who are the people in our lives who need our help and prayers so that the healing hands of Christ can come upon them? What deafness to the Word of God do we face?  What kind of healing do we need from the Lord? As we gather once again for our Sunday worship, let us bring all these before the Eucharistic Lord and allow Him to enter the brokenness within.  Let the Spirit of the Lord open our hearts to listen to His will for us. Let our hearts be transformed and empowered by His merciful love to serve Him together as one community of faith.   Let our souls give thanks and praise to the Lord with our words and deeds for the countless miracles, big and small, that He has done for us, "He has done all things well.  He makes the deaf hear and the mute speak."

God is Love,
