33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time Greetings

Posted on November 12, 2021 in: General News

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

With all that is going on around us and in the world, with all the challenges that we face due to the pandemic, how we desire a solution to arrive. How we long for a savior to rescue us from all our distress.

Our Sunday readings console us and bring us to the truth of God's unending and saving love.  Although we experience darkness and hardships, we are assured that the brilliance of Christ's love continues to illuminate our path.  We do not have to be afraid.

With God's Spirit showering us with gifts and graces, we are able to follow Christ, hold on to His Words, and become His faithful disciples, serving Him and one another, even in the face of opposition, persecution and suffering.  With God's Spirit breathing forth in us new life and strength through the sacraments and scriptures, we are assured that we will surpass the storms of life.

Almost five months into our parish clustering, we are assured that we are able to overcome the setbacks because God is always with us.  We thank Jesus, our Emmanuel, for being with us at each Eucharistic Sacrifice.  Here, Jesus, the Lamb of God, the Bread of Life which we receive unites us and sustains us in the midst of trials.  Fr. Manuel and I wish to thank each one of you for your resilience, prayers and support and for keeping the faith no matter the challenges that lie ahead.

As one St. Luke faith community, let us together go onwards, with firm hope and faith and anticipate the coming of Christ our King here and now and at the end of time where there will be no more mourning or pain.  Let us prepare our hearts for our King, reflecting in our lives the light of Christ, being clothed with His glorious love.

God is Love,
