In commemoration of the Feast of Saint Blaise, two candles are blessed, and pressed against the throat while a prayer of blessing is said.  Legend has it that a mother brought to Saint Blaise her dying son who had a fishbone stuck in his throat and got miraculously healed. We will have the Blessing of Throats at the 8:30am Mass on Thursday, February 3rd. All are invited to receive God’s gift of healing.
