This year on the Fourth Sunday of Ordinary Time, we will be celebrating the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. It is an ancient tradition for candles to be blessed on this day as we celebrate the coming of Christ, the Light of the World. We pray that by the power of the Holy Spirit, we might also become beacons of Christ’s light to all. Please bring your candles and have them blessed at the 8:30a.m. Holy Mass on February 2nd. Jesus spoke to the people saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows [the Lord] will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
